Jennifer Thomson is an Established Fine Artist and Experienced Teacher

For 33 years, Jennifer has honed her artistic talent and teaching abilities. She trained in traditional schools and received a BFA, after that her artist quest led her Beppe Assenza’s studio in Dornach Switzerland where she spent 4 years studying Goethe’s color theory and Rudolf Steiner’s color indications and spiritual science.
She spent 11 years as the Director of the internationally know Atelier House School of Painting in New York. She held adult classes and worked with young adults with special needs. Next she moved to Denver and taught art to the elderly at a retirement home, worked with patients in a psychiatric unit doing ‘curative art,’ and held classes for adults and children in her own studio. She has taught students ages 6 to 95.
Presently she resides in Crestone CO where she offers private art sessions and Saturday classes. Every August, students from around the globe seek out her popular Intensive Painting Retreat (see the article below).
Jennifer’s approach to teaching is to help students find their own path and voice through the unfolding colors. This path is a inner search for truth and human balance.
